Nepal records an 88.30 percent rise in exports.
According to the statistics unveiled by the Department of Customs on Tuesday, exports in Nepal have increased in the first seven months of the current fiscal year 2021/22. The export during this period amounted to around NPR 131 billion.
The export of the previous fiscal year was NPR 69.91 billion. According to the department, In the first seven months of the current fiscal year 2021/22, the country has recorded a rise in imports by 42.78 percent.
The import stood at NPR 1,147.46 billion against NPR 803 billion during the period. Nepal imported foreign goods from 145 countries amounting to over 1,147.46 billion.
The major portion of the imports was recorded from India at NPR 696 billion followed by China at NPR 165.23 billion.
