The lost idol of Sunaguthi Balkumari Mai has been recovered.
The idol was found today inside a sack in a temple in Khumaltar, Lalitpur about three weeks after it was stolen on Jan 23rd.
In the presence of Energy Minister Pampha Bhusal, Mayor of Lalitpur metropolis, and authorities from the District Administration Office from Lalitpur, the recovered idol was made public by organizing a formal event.
It was handed over to the locals and will be reinstalled at the temple.
The idol was stolen from highly secured and locked premises of the Balkumari temple. DAO of Lalitpur has taken responsibility to conduct further investigation.
