Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) outgoing chairman Kamal Thapa has announced his resignation from the party.
He announced his separation from RPP at a press conference in Hetauda on Tuesday.
He said that he was forced to take such an unpleasant decision with pain after the party stopped hearing his side.
Speaking at a press conference, he claimed that Nirmal Niwas had repeatedly interfered in the party and said that it is not good.
Thapa said that he has not yet made any decision about opening a new party.
He has said that he will move forward only after consulting about it.
Kamal Thapa had been becoming dissatisfied with the party leadership after losing to Rajendra Lingden for the post of chairperson at the General Convention held last December.
Stating that he has no animosity towards any of RPP’s friends, Thapa thanked all those who helped him while he was at the party.
